DUNSMUIR, CALIFORNIA
BUSINESS OF THE YEAR - 2009

We've been honored by the Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce by being named Dunsmuir's Business of the year.    We're very proud that our old hardware store means that much to our community.  We thank the Chamber for this recognition and thank all of our customers for their continued support.

In the far north of California - near the base of Mount Shasta - in the Upper Sacramento River Canyon - is the small town of Dunsmuir; the home of our hardware store that dates back to 1894.  Preserving the old time ways of doing business but presenting modern merchandise is our specialty.  Visitors stepping into our store for the first time often comment, "This is what hardware stores used to be like!"

We're a modern TRUE VALUE HARDWARE STORE with a complete and up-to-date inventory in a nostalgic setting.  The high tin ceiling and natural wood floor surround fascinating old photographs and displays of antique tools and housewares in and around the latest in today's tools and housewares.

-  You can find anything you might need in plumbing and electrical supplies.
-   Our TRUE VALUE paints are here for you along with your gardening needs.
-  We cater to folks fishing for rainbow trout in the Sacramento River just two blocks away.
-  We even stock gold panning and prospecting supplies.
-  Our model trains section is one of the best in the north state.

We're pleased that you've come to our modest web-site and hope you'll explore it a bit.

You can click on the buttons above and learn about the history of our old store in the ABOUT US page, take a look at some photos of us then and now in the PHOTOS page, see what our current bargains are in the CURRENT SPECIALS page, find out what we have and what we do in the PRODUCTS AND SERVICES  page, be entertained a bit in the MISCELLANEOUS STUFF page, and see how to reach us in the CONTACT US page.
